The Story

The Friulane in green ribbed boiled wool and rubber sole with visible stitching. They are traditional Friuli shoes that were originally made at home by ladies in mountain villages, then found new life in the Venetian canals: the gondoliers needed a comfortable and stable shoe that was also delicate on the wood. The hand stitching, with its irregularities, makes each shoe a unique piece. Comfortable and snug, with the tongue which covers up to the instep, you’ll barely feel them; perfect for relaxing at home after a day in the snow.
